100 Men vs. 1 Gorilla, also known as 100 Guys vs. 1 Gorilla, refers to a viral debate about who would win in a fight to the death, 100 men or one gorilla. The concept went viral on TikTok and spread to Twitter / X and Reddit in late April 2025. Some posted simulations that overwhelmingly showed the gorilla defeating the 100 men. The discourse led to many memes, mostly at the expense of humans or, alternatively, were overly pro-human.
Side Shot Nominate 6 is an Instagram Story trend that gained traction among teenagers in late April 2025. The trend involves people posting photos of themselves from the side, typically from a sporting event like football or basketball, and nominating six other people to do the same by tagging them. Instagram user @BigBagPictures1 created the "Side Shot Nominate 6" "Add Yours" feature that other Instagram users subsequently adopted. Soon after Instagram users began nominating their friends to participate in the trend, TikTok users posted videos asking what the "Side Shot Nominate 6" trend is, and "First the USC Mind challenge now this?"
A Progressive Mind In a MAGA Body is a catchphrase derived from the title of an April 2025 New York Times article positively profiling Twitch streamer Hasan Piker (HasanAbi), with many perceiving the implication that MAGA supporters are fit and healthy. The title garnered criticism online following the publication of the article, with many finding it arguably inaccurate and cringeworthy. The phrase additionally inspired memes in which it is attributed to funny images representing true "MAGA bodies." In response to the backlash, the New York Times changed the title of the editorial to "A Progressive Mind in a Body Made for the ‘Manosphere.’"
