Shortly after it was posted, 4chan users discovered the girl's identity and videos for the controversial pornography company GirlsDoPorn, including a video in which she was wearing the same outfit as in the photo with her boyfriend, inspiring accusations of cheating and memes about Vargas cheating on her boyfriend. The meme continued to spread throughout the 2010s and 2020s, mostly through an image macro showing the original photo next to one of Vargas' adult video thumbnails.
