What Christopher Columbus Saw When He Pulled Up To America is a series of memes that use a version of the catchphrase, "This is what Christopher Columbus saw when he pulled up to America," over an image of an attractive woman who is dressed up as or arguably resembles an Indigenous American person. In May 2025, a version of the meme that uses a photo of a woman who is purportedly X / Twitter user @SantoriMary (mimiesquisitinha on Instagram) with red paint across her face and eyes, seemingly cosplaying as BRchan mascot Kuruminha, went viral. The memes purportedly reference stories of a Carib woman whom Italian explorer and navigator Christopher Columbus is said to have sexually assaulted alongside his crew.

Upset Because of a Certain Someone, They Know Who They Are, continued, Stop Posting Mysterious Status Updates When We Have No Idea Who You're Talking About, refers to a scene in the Cartoon Network show The Amazing World of Gumball in which the characters Gumball and Darwin are reading a "mysterious" social media status update from a classmate and responding to it. The scene's audio was widely used on TikTok in May 2025, mostly to joke about Instagram Notes and other status update features.

TACO is a slang acronym that stands for Trump Always Chickens Out. The catchphrase TACO Trade gained traction in May 2025 after U.S. President Donald Trump repeatedly announced and delayed or repealed tariffs on several regions, including the European Union and China. Domestic and international stock traders began using the phrase "TACO" to describe Trump's tendency to walk back on policies that cause the markets to take a downturn, saying that they had begun incorporating and anticipating sharp market dips and hikes caused by Trump's policy announcements into their trading strategies. The term and catchphrase also spread online via memes in mid-2025.
