Markiplier TikTok Filter Leak, also known as Markiplier Sraka Filter Controversy and sometimes misspelled as Sarka Filter, refers to an explicit image showing YouTuber Markiplier's genitalia through a 777 filter on TikTok, which emerged in early May 2024. The filter notably features Discord's mascot "Wumpus" and was quickly removed from the platform as it went viral, sparking a series of engagement bait content in which people shared their reactions after seeing Markiplier's penis. The explicit picture of Markiplier is fake and comes from the Twitter / X account editlux, most likely posted in June 2019, which was created using AI and deepfake applications.
The Blocking Celebrities Trend, also known as Blockout 2024, Celebrity Block List 2024, Celebrity Block Party or BlockTok, refers to a trend started in the wake of the 2024 Met Gala in which TikTokers and other internet users made a list of celebrities to block on social media to protest their wealth by attempting to stop their ad revenue. High-level influencers were also included in the block list. The campaign centered on blocking celebrities to support Palestine amid the 2024 Israel-Hamas conflict, targeting celebrities who didn't speak up to condemn the IDF. The hashtag "#BlockOut2024" became synonymous with the trend akin to the TikToker who started the trend named @blockout2024. References to the Marie Antoinette quote Let Them Eat Cake also became synonymous with the trend, notably including TikTok influencer Haleyybaylee's 'Let Them Eat Cake' controversy.
EbonyPrince2k24 refers to the Twitter / X account of an unknown man who leaked items allegedly owned by rapper Drake. A photo of EbonyPrince2k24's items was notably used as the cover art for Kendrick Lamar's Drake diss track "meet the grahams." EbonyPrince2k24 posted cryptic videos and photos with the items in May 2024 amid the Kendrick Lamar vs. Drake feud, seemingly taken in the Mark Hotel in New York City. Many speculated that EbonyPrince2k24 was a former employee of the Mark Hotel who purportedly knew incriminating evidence against Drake that transpired on January 22nd, 2023.
I Hate the Way That You Walk, also known as Now Let Me Say I’m the Biggest Hater or I Hate the Way That You Walk, the Way That You Talk, I Hate the Way That You Dress, refers to lyrics from rapper Kendrick Lamar's diss track "Euphoria" in which he was addressing rapper Drake amid their 2024 feud. The lyrics became a meme on TikTok and elsewhere in May 2024. Many used the soundbite as a TikTok sound, using it to portray vitriol for other scenarios and people. The lyrics also became a copypasta or catchphrase used in image macros and memes.
