Yusuf Dikeç is a Turkish Pistol Shooter who participated in the 2024 Summer Paris Olympics, winning a silver medal in the mixed team event. A photo of Dikeç shooting with no specialized eyewear went viral on Twitter / X in late July 2024 and was used in memes, with many internet users joking about him looking like a passerby who just happened to pick up the pistol and compete or calling him a trained hitman and assassin sent by Turkey to eviscerate the competition. Dikeç is a retired officer of the Turkish Gendarmerie, a military force in Turkey. Dikeç also drew comparisons to Kim Yeji, a South Korean pistol shooter who was dubbed as having main character energy after photos of her went viral as well. Dikeç and Kim added to a growing trend of 2024 Olympic shooter memes that included many other Olympians from other countries.

Fartbuckle the Goblin is a goblin character who appeared in a series of skits about Dungeons & Dragons by TikToker @Tumbleweed2319. In the skits, Fartbuckle is suddenly introduced by the dungeon master at a critical moment to sacrifice himself, whispering "I… save… friends…" as he gives his life to save the party. The character achieved virality within the Dungeons & Dragons community on TikTok in late July 2024.

Wobby’s Neighbor Missile Rumor refers to the arrest of Boyton Beach, Florida man Andrew Pepin, purportedly known as the furry Wobby or @w0bby on Twitter / X, who allegedly shot a "missile" at his neighbor’s home, blowing them up. The story broke in August 2024 and led to memes and posts on X, mostly in the form of quote tweets and memes that portrayed shock and joked about hitting one's neighbor with a missile while possessing an internet fursona at the same time. It's ultimately unconfirmed if Wobby is Pepin. Additionally, Pepin was arrested for murdering his roommate with a rifle and shooting into a dwelling, not for blowing up his neighbor's house.

Skibidi Toilet DMCA Takedown refers to a Digital Millennium Copyright Act (DMCA) takedown sent by DaFuq!?Boom!, the creator of the digital series Skibidi Toilet, to Garry’s Mod (GMod), alleging unauthorized use of copyrighted assets. The DMCA claim was revealed by Garry Newman in late July 2024, developer of the independent physics sandbox game, on the Garry’s Mod s&box Discord server. Online, numerous netizens criticized the takedown notice, as the series was created using assets from GMod.
