Raps, Rhymes And A Nonsense Conspiracy Theory

This week, Peter Griffin gave us an emotional vocal performance, Zendaya's big hat inspired creepy theories, the new pope became a meme and more.

If You See Me Out In Quahog or Nope You’re Too Late I’m Already Dad is a parody of the song "Nope Your Too Late I Already Died" by Wifiskeleton sung in the voices of famous cartoon dads, namely Peter Griffin from Family Guy, Bob Belcher from Bob's Burgers, Homer Simpson from The Simpsons and Stan Smith from American Dad. The parody, which features the lyrics, "If you see me out in Quahog, say hi," was created and posted by Rex Lengyel (@rexboxlive) in early May 2025 and went viral on TikTok that month. Coincidentally, as the song went viral, reports that Wifiskeleton had suddenly died were posted online.

The Zendaya Theory or Zendaya Big Hat Theory refers to a series of parody creepypasta memes that share scary theories related to an image of actress Zendaya wearing a big black hat to the 2014 Teen Vogue Young Hollywood Party. The memes were started by TikToker @thesnakesbloxx at the beginning of May 2025 and garnered viral spread over the following days. The theory is meant to be vague and absurd, with no actual theory being linked to the big hat image. In one video by @thesnakesbloxx, they share an image of a Google Doc with a partial theory about the hat being enchanted.

Rhymes With Grug, also known as It Rhymes With Grug, refers to a phrasal template about The Croods character Grug Crood and one of his quotes from the 2013 animated film in which he invents many things and says that their names rhyme with Grug. In mid-2025, Grug memes spread en masse on TikTok, centering on memes that falsely claimed events, inventions and other words rhymed with Grug. The obvious contradiction carried the punchline. The snowclone typically used is "I call it X, rhymes with Grug" or "I call it X (it rhymes with Grug)." The meme spread during a rise in The Croods content in 2025, including The Croods Running meme. Both trends used the same TikTok sound, which was the main theme of the movie.
