These 'Pokémon' Leaks Are Getting Weird

Typhlosion Game Freak Leaks, also known as Typhlosion Lore Leak Story, refers to memes and jokes about Typhlosion, a fire-type Gen II Pokémon. After the Game Freak Gigaleak in mid-October 2024 revealed an unreleased Pokémon lore story about a Typhlosion kidnapping a young girl and making her give birth to a half-human, half-Pokémon hybrid, internet users began posting memes and jokes about how Typhlosion is "Not Like Us" (among other memetic content), and how the meme trend surrounding him resembles memes about Vaporeon like the character's infamous copypasta.
The Nintendo Alarmo refers to an alarm clock created by Nintendo and announced in 2024. The Alarmo was designed with Nintendo graphics, sounds and songs from popular video games that the user could choose from to customize their alarm clock experience. In October 2024, Nintendo announced the Alarmo's release on social media platforms like Twitter / X and YouTube. It inspired viral memes and reactions upon its release. Many internet users and Nintendo fans joked about the price, which was roughly $100, and the fact that Nintendo announced an alarm clock instead of something more coveted like the rumored Nintendo Switch 2.
The Tesla Optimus Robot is a general-purpose robot created by Tesla and showcased alongside the Tesla Robovan at the "We, Robot" event at the L.A. Warner Bros. Studios on October 10th, 2024. The name "Optimus" is a reference to the Transformers character Optimus Prime. A model commonly referred to as the Tesla Bot was previously unveiled in August 2021, later becoming the Optimus. Tesla's CEO Elon Musk was present at the event and became the subject of numerous memes as the product garnered attention around the internet. Videos of the Optimus bots making drinks and speaking with attendees at the festival began making the rounds online soon after the event.
