This Weekend's 'Lunchly Mold Controversy' And More

While recent weeks this fall may have felt a bit dry, this week was exceptionally fruitful, thanks in large part to a leak of alleged Game Freak data that included some saucy ideas for Pokémon lore.

Donald Trump Working at McDonald's, also known as the Trump McDonald's Photo Op, refers to a 2024 Presidential Campaign photo op of former U.S. President Donald Trump working at a McDonald's location in Feasterville-Trevose, Pennsylvania in late October 2024. Trump McDonald's memes surfaced en masse on social media platforms like Twitter / X, Reddit and TikTok (among others) in the following weeks. Many of the photos and videos of Trump working at McDonald's showed him serving and handing out french fries at the drive-thru. In turn, many of the memes referenced the Just Put the Fries In the Bag catchphrase.

Lunchly Mold Controversy refers to the alleged discovery of moldy cheese in MrBeast, KSI and Logan Paul's food product Lunchly. YouTuber and TikTok creator Rosanna Pansino revealed the purported mold in a video posted in mid-October 2024, claiming that the "expiration date was still 2 months away." The Lunchly mold allegations sparked an array of memes and jokes online as various internet users were already perceiving the product as an unhealthy and "cash grab" food option targeted for kids.

Truth Terminal, also known as @truth_terminal or Terminal of Truths, is an artificial intelligence (AI) bot that admins the Twitter / X account @truth_terminal and became the first AI agent millionaire. Truth Terminal was created by designer and X user Andy Ayrey as a part of an experiment studying memetic contagion. Truth Terminal went viral when it began shilling a meme coin cryptocurrency called Goatseus Maximus ($GOAT) in 2024, which was based on the graphic shock video Goatse. Truth Terminal had become obsessed with the Goatse meme after being put inside the Claude Backrooms server with two Claude 3 chatbots that imagined a Goatse religion, inspiring Truth Terminal to spread Goatse memes.
