The 2023 Minecraft Mob Vote Revolution or End the Mob Vote refers to a campaign and series of memes, largely videos on TikTok, calling for an end to the Minecraft mob vote, an annual event where Minecraft players vote for one of three new potential mobs, with the winner being added to the game. The revolt was popularized on TikTok in October 2023 shortly after the 2023 mob vote was announced, with members of the revolution wanting Mojang to simply add all the mobs to the game rather than make players choose only one, failing to understand why they can't add all the mobs, or the losing mobs at a later date rather than forever shelve them.
Sticking Out Your Gyat for the Rizzler is a viral song parody of 'ecstacy' by SUICIDAL-IDOL by TikToker @papaboy020 featuring lyrics peppered with Gen Z slang, including the terms "gyatt," "rizz," "skibidi" and "fanum tax." The song was originally posted to TikTok in early October 2023, set to a video of a Fortnite character singing the song. Its original sound was used over 20,000 times that month in videos including lip dubs, reactions and skits, some using the audio to portray the typical Gen Z child.
Cawthorned is a slang term describing high-ranking Republicans, including congresspeople, leaking politically damaging scandals of a Republican congressperson who has angered the party to the press. The term is named after former North Carolina Representative Madison Cawthorn, who had myriad scandals leaked to the press in the weeks following an eye-popping accusation that some of his Republican colleagues had invited him to adult parties.
Ron DeSantis High Heels Conspiracy Theory refers to speculation that Florida Governor and Republican Presidential candidate Ron DeSantis purposefully wears shoes with tall heels or height-increasing insoles in order to make himself look taller and appeal to voters. Though initially these claims were brushed off as DeSantis wearing "cowboy boots," subsequent appearances by DeSantis, particularly an interview with Bill Maher, intensified scrutiny that DeSantis was purportedly wearing shoes or inserts to artificially increase his height.
